Special Olympics Romania
Special Olympics Romania Foundation was legally registered in November 2003, as part of the international Special Olympics movement. Special Olympics contributes to the social inclusion of persons with developmental disabilities by encouraging communication through sports. Special Olympics gives persons with special needs opportunities to discover and develop their sports skills and their potential, through on-going trainings and sports events. Thereby, SO athletes have opportunities to become active members of their families and communities. Special Olympics creates experiences that give participants energy, health, self-confidence and joy of living.
