More than 40 volunteers enrolled in the Raiffeisen Bank Marathon run for Motivation Foundation Romania

Motivation Romania Foundation participates at the Raiffesein Bank marathon on 14 – 15 October in Bucharest. From #TeamMotivation there are over 40 volunteers who have chosen to run a marathon for one of the Foundation’s projects – “Active Recovery and Independent Living for People in Wheelchair” and “Be with Me” – a project dedicated to the 27 young people with disabilities deinstitutionalized who live in Motivation family homes.

#TeamMotivation also includes wheelchair users. The Motivation Team – Wheels of Change includes active wheelchair users, who are currently independent life instructors, wheelchair users, wheelchair technicians, project coordinators. They were, at first, beneficiaries of the Motivation Foundation’s active recovery programs, then volunteers and now they play key roles in the Foundation’s work.

Their motivation to join the marathon and to run in the contest at any of the races – 3 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km – is to give other wheelchair users the opportunity to learn what they have learned, to find their way to an independent life, to have jobs, to start families, to make sports and to be active in their communities.
