“Generosity through music”, more than a slogan: the George Enescu International Festival, a more accessible event for vulnerable people

Some of the young people from IMPACT program of Motivation Romania Foundation, together with some young athletes of Special Olympics Romania, participated on Sunday, September 10, in the show “Pinocchio… with “strings” attached”, a show for all ages supported by the Romanian Orchestra of Chamber, under the baton of the conductor Gabriel Bebeșelea.

For the first time this year, the partners of the George Enescu International Festival offered consulting services and support for the access of people with disabilities to the concert spaces, for their participation in the concerts and actions within the Festival.

Motivation Romania Foundation and Special Olympics Romania are institutional partners of the George Enescu Festival, 2023 edition.

This year’s edition of the George Enescu International Festival is dedicated to the inclusion: “In art, in literature, in music, nothing is yours until you give it to someone else.” said George Enescu, and the theme of this year’s festival, “Generosity through music”, honors the magnanimous and altruistic spirit of the great artist. The theme of this year’s edition is not just a slogan, it is also reflected in the program and actions that the organizer, ARTEXIM, has prepared. Among them are three partnerships with organizations working to support vulnerable people, to bring them closer to the world of symphonic music.
