Panoul de Bord application has the option for Submission of proposals to improve access to mobility equipment

People with reduced mobility, as well as their companions, users of the Panoul de Bord application, can submit suggestions for improving the situation of mobility equipment, by selecting the category to which the identified problem belongs, directly from the mobile application.

The headings refer to different types of wheelchairs, the updating of lists for assistive devices, the settlement of wheelchair cushions, electrically driven wheelchairs and child restraints. Also, the proposals may submit suggestions to modify the expense amounts settled by the National Health Insurance House for the assistive devices or for the diversification of those settled by the authorized institution.

All proposals go to the National Health Insurance House.

The option of submitting proposals to facilitate access to mobility equipment was designed in the context of encouraging people with disabilities to benefit from assistive devices adapted to the needs of each individual beneficiary.

Motivation Romania Foundation implements the recommendations of the World Health Organization regarding the provision of wheelchairs with manual drive, according to the guide: https://bit.ly/GhidPrivindSupply of Wheelchairs.

Panoul de Bord mobile app is free and can be downloaded by anyone with an Android and iOS phone.

As part of the “Advocacy for Community Access for Wheelchair Users” project, which began in 2021, it was introduced an option – Disability and Inclusion, section in Panoul de Bord application. Within this, three subcategories have been developed: Accessibility, Education and Inclusion and the Right to Work, through which persons with and without disabilities can submit complaints to the responsible authorities to seize the violation of the rights of persons with disabilities.

“Advocacy for community access for wheelchair users” is implemented by Motivation Romania Foundation in partnership with Segoia Association, with the financial support of the Active Citizens Fund Romania, programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021. The project aims to support the social inclusion of people with disabilities by improving the mobility and health of wheelchair users.
