Over 100 children and young people with disabilities will receive the right mobility equipment for their needs to improve their freedom of movement. A Leg to Stand On (ALTSO) is the new partner of Motivation Romania Foundation and the donor of mobility equipment that will positively change lives.

Starting this month, Motivation will donate over 100 active and positioning wheelchairs for children and young people with disabilities from all over the country, as part of the partnership with ALTSO. This project is for people younger than 21 years. The mobility equipment will be assembled and prepared for delivery in Motivation’s atelier. They will be donated based on individual evaluations made by Motivation’s specialists from all over the country, following the recommendations of the World Health Organization. They participated in a training session and learned about the features and adjustments for each type of wheelchair available in our project.

We want to bring as many partners as possible to offer mobility solutions for people with disabilities from Romania together. With ALTSO, we can help children and people younger than 21 years. Their needs are constantly changing because they are growing, this is why it’s so important to offer them mobility equipments based on their abilities, dimensions and needs.
