Trainings on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) aim to:
- Present the ICF;
- Demonstrate the need to change the current perspective on disability, from the medical approach to a more complex approach centered on the individual abilities of each person;
- To give participants tools for using the ICF in creating and documenting interventions aimed to provide services to persons with disabilities (rehabilitation management).
Main themes include:
- The Integrated bio-psycho-social model of functioning and disability
- Understanding functioning and disability
- Definitions of the main components of the bio-psycho-social model of functioning and disability
- The need for and objectives of the ICF
- Classification structure and codes, ICF qualifiers
- Developing the ICF Core sets
- Using the ICF in rehabilitation management
- Using the ICF in Romania

Trainings can be attanede by Romanian professionals providing services for persons with disabilities, in each of the regions where we organize trainings.
Participants are not charged for attending trainings. Upon completing the course, each participant receives a diploma.
Trainings are usually organized for up to 15 participants/location. Attendance is on a first come-first served basis.
