It also aims to inform 500 people without disabilities from the community, including students, parents, teachers, on the rights and abilities of children and adults with physical disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>The objectives of the project are:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Facilitating the access to public education and other services available in the community for 80 wheelchair users from Bucharest and Ilfov County, children and adults. \u00a0This will take place by applying a pilot-model of assisted transportation service and accessibility. The purpose is to reduce isolation at home, caused by the lack of accessibility in public spaces, including schools, health services and other support services.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Improving health condition and developing independent living skills for 144 children and adults using wheelchairs in Bucharest and Ilfov County, through an unique, sustainable of home care and support group<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Increasing awareness on the abilities of children and adults with physical disabilities for 180 students without disabilities, parents, teachers and other people in the community.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Developing the capacity of community fundraising by organizing two fundraising campaigns to support the service of assisted transportation for wheelchair users from Bucharest and Illovo County.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Increasing visibility of the applicant and partners by informing 500 people in the community through promoting materials and events, created throughout the project.<\/p>\n<p>For this, there will be organized wheelchair sports demonstrations, camps for children with and without disabilities, seminars and other informative activities. Promoting activities benefit from the specific experience of the partner, Special Olympics Romania Foundation, by conducting \u201dParticipate!\u201d workshops in schools, through which students learn to accept and appreciate differences and qualities of each person and are encouraged to become volunteers in specific projects.<\/p>\n<p>Within the project, Motivation Romania Foundation will also become partner with schools, institutions, companies and community members, in an effort to encourage and support social inclusion of wheelchair users, adults or children.<\/p>\n<p>The financial support provided by the EEA Grants 2009 &#8211; 2014, within the NGO Fund in Romania is up to 245,136.32 EUR, while Motivation Romania&#8217;s contribution is of 47 424 EUR.<\/p>\n<p>For official information about the EEA and Norway Grants, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.motivation.ro\/old\/www.eeagrants.org\">www.eeagrants.org<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.motivation.ro\/old\/www.fondong.ro\">www.fondong.ro<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The content of this website does not necessarily represent the official position of the EEA Grants 2009-2014.
