{"id":234,"date":"2015-12-09T13:32:51","date_gmt":"2015-12-09T11:32:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/motivation.ro\/en\/?page_id=234"},"modified":"2016-10-10T11:47:55","modified_gmt":"2016-10-10T08:47:55","slug":"partners","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/motivation.ro\/en\/cif-courses\/partners\/","title":{"rendered":"Partners"},"content":{"rendered":"<style type=\"text\/css\"><\/style><h2><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.motivation.ro\/en\/uploads\/images\/Stiri%20si%20evenimente\/swissro-centered-maimic.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"110\" \/><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Training courses on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF)\u00a0<\/strong>have been created in the project \u201dLook at Abilities, Forget Incapacity.\u201d\u00a0This was a unique awareness raising and training initiative whereby Motivation aimed to support Romanian professionals working in the disability field in adopting ability-centered principles in disability\u00a0service provision. This approach is needed in order to change the current, predominantly medical approach, which tends to limit the inclusion opportunities of persons with disabilities. The working tools whereby we approached this objective have been created based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health, developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and on the study entitled \u201dInternational Perspectives on Spinal Cord Injuries (IPSCI).<\/p>\n<p>The project was carried out by Motivation Romania Foundation and Swiss Paraplegic Research, during May 2013 &#8211; May 2015. The project was co-financed by a grant from Switzerland through the Swiss contribution to the enlarged European Union.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Motivation Romania Foundation<\/strong>\u00a0is a nongovernmental, nonprofit organization, created in 1995 to support children and adults with disabilities. Our programs improve the quality of life of wheelchair users and ensure their active presence in the community through provision of appropriate mobility equipment, physical rehabilitation, independent living training carried out by wheelchair user trainers, employment mediation, and accessibility support for living and public spaces. Since 1995, Motivation gave back freedom of movement and hope in a life of achievements to over 14,500 Romanians\u00a0with disabilities.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nSwiss Paraplegic Research<\/strong>\u00a0is a research institute founded by the Swiss Paraplegic Foundation, in\u00a0Notwill,Switzerland. SPF is recognied by the Swiss federal and regional governments as a leading non-academic research center. The main quality of its activities resides in that research is multi-disciplinary, bringing together several relevant perspectives on rehabilitation.
