The doctors diagnosed Irina with spinal muscular atrophy(SMA), a rare genetic condition that affects the muscles and keeps her from being able to walk.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsms_column one_half\">\n<div class=\"cmsms_text\">\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Irina is now 7 years old, and her world is bright and full of dreams. Between therapy sessions and medical treatments, she loves playing with her ponies \u2014 \u201chundreds and thousands of ponies,\u201d as she proudly says about her collection.
