But when people share the same purpose, the dreams come true. Everything began in the basement of a hospital, more than three decades ago, in 1995 where a small group of determined individuals set out to improve the lives of people with disabilities. At that time, disability was still a taboo subject, and opportunities for people with disabilities were extremely limited.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the Motivation Foundation team looks back with pride at what has been achieved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Over 31,000 people with disabilities have benefited from Motivation Foundation\u2019s services;<\/li>\n<li>More than 1,300 mobility devices have been donated to hospitals, care centers, and other institutions;<\/li>\n<li>Over 5,000 children and adults have regained their independence through active rehabilitation programs;<\/li>\n<li>More than 25,000 kilometers have been run by athletes with and without disabilities as part of #TeamMotivation;<\/li>\n<li>Over 2,500 participants have attended courses on interacting with people with disabilities;<\/li>\n<li>22 young people with moderate and severe disabilities have grown up within the Motivation family, receiving therapy and a safe home after being taken from residential care institutions;<\/li>\n<li>More than 1,000 people with disabilities and from disadvantaged groups have found employment with Motivation\u2019s support;<\/li>\n<li>Three awareness campaigns have been carried out to promote disability rights and prevent spinal cord injuries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These achievements were made possible thanks to everyone who has contributed time, effort, and heart \u2014 from the founders and staff to program participants, partners, donors, and sponsors.<\/p>\n<p>The Motivation story continues, guided by the same mission: to improve the lives of even more people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>You can help too the people with mobility disabilities regain an active and independent life by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promoting the #PeBune? campaign messages and ensuring the correct use of accessible parking spaces;<\/li>\n<li>Donating 2 EUR per month via SMS by sending the word ACTIV to 8844;<\/li>\n<li>Joining #TeamMotivation as a runner and fundraiser;<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the organization\u2019s programs through tax-deductible sponsorships that fund the independent living services and mobility equipment provided free of charge to children and adults who use wheelchairs across the country;<\/li>\n<li>Making a monthly donation via the link: <a href=\"https:\/\/motivation.ro\/en\/\">https:\/\/motivation.ro\/en\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you need Motivation\u2019s services can call the Wheelchair User Hotline at 0800.030.762, available Monday to Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On February 15, the Motivation Foundation celebrated 31 years of activity.
