Running from August 1 to October 31, the project aimed to create opportunities for occupational development and social integration for adults with disabilities — both deinstitutionalized and from the community — from the Bucharest–Ilfov area.
Over three months, young adults with disabilities took part in artistic creation workshops, sports, and recreational activities organized in Bragadiru Park and at local playgrounds.
At the “Iolanda Balaș Soter” Stadium in Bucharest, they also participated in a sports competition that included adapted athletics and javelin throw events, all coordinated by a professional sports instructor
As part of the project, participants also took part in informational and awareness visits promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities through creative workshops hosted by other NGOs. The first visit took place at the Diakoniewerk Romania – Sibiu Occupational Center, and the second at OilRight. These meetings helped participants form new friendships and share their own experiences from the creative workshops they regularly attend.
Another key activity of the project was organizing a mountain camp.
For a week, young people with disabilities, together with project specialists, visited Brașov and Bran, and went hiking through the picturesque villages of Fundata, Măgura, Ciocanu, Șirnea, Moieciu de Sus, and Cheile Dâmbovicioarei.
The final activity of the project was a trip to Constanța, where participants visited major tourist attractions such as the Constanța Casino and the Dolphinarium. The purpose of this trip was to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in community life and to provide equal opportunities for all.
The project was implemented by Motivation Romania Foundation in partnership with Special Olympics Romania Foundation, with financial support from the Ministry of Labor, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity and the National Authority for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The project had a total value of 146,562 RON and took place between August 1 and October 31, 2025.
