In July, we organized two summer camps for our youth from the IMPACT Program, at Văratec, Neamț County. After a one-year break, this summer’s activities were eagerly awaited by our young people. They enjoyed a week of relaxation and fresh air, under the guidance of our colleagues.
All of them were very happy to spend some time outdoors, enjoying the nature and other dear places. They visited Putna, Agapia, Neamt and Varatec Monasteries, where they were impressed by the diversity of the plants and their colors, they were on a trip at the Red Lake and Bicazului Gorges, where they admired the landscapes. They also went in the nearby Silver Wood.
In addition to these visits, our young people played different funny games, with our colleagues. By combining curiosity, play and experiences in nature, they practice and develop their skills and knowledge.
The young people from the IMPACT program have medium and severe disabilities and were transferred by Motivation Romania Foundation from state run institutions, starting with 2003. We give our youth the protection
and warmth of a family. They access therapies that help them discover and improve their social and independent
living skills. Find out more about them, by reading their stories, here.
