Bucharest Marathon 2026 once again brought #TeamMotivation together for an event dedicated to sport, solidarity, and inclusion. More than 500 runners chose to support the cause of Motivation Romania Foundation, while the funds raised during the event will cover the cost of 78 wheelchairs for people with disabilities.

For #TeamMotivation, taking part in Bucharest Marathon means more than covering distances and achieving sporting goals. It is an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of mobility and independence for people with disabilities and to build a community committed to inclusion.

This year, among the 500 runners wearing the TeamMotivation T-shirt were 16 wheelchair users. Each of them helped amplify our message: people with disabilities have the right to lead active, independent lives and participate fully in their communities.

Funds Raised for 78 Wheelchairs

Alongside the sporting event, the fundraising campaign organized around Bucharest Marathon brought together runner-fundraisers, individual donors, and companies that chose to support the mission of Motivation Romania Foundation.

Thanks to their contributions, we successfully raised enough funds to cover the cost of 78 wheelchairs.

For a person with a disability, a wheelchair that meets their individual needs can make the difference between dependence and independence. It can mean being able to go to school, have a job, spend time with friends, or take part in everyday activities.

One Team, United by a Common Cause

#TeamMotivation brings together people who choose to support people with disabilities in different ways. Some run to raise awareness of our cause, others turn their participation into personal fundraising campaigns, while companies and donors contribute resources to help make a tangible difference.
