Our youth from the Impact program enjoyed an afternoon of family theater. Alongside their peers from the Motivation Day Center, they watched the play “Muscă, paie și bătaie” online and had a great time. For them, it is sometimes difficult to maintain focus until the end of a performance, but this time they were attentive and laughed heartily. Moreover, they still remember scenes that they continue to discuss even days after the screening.

Our colleagues are always looking for solutions to offer young people access to diverse and interesting experiences that are also accessible to them. So, the theater play was a great opportunity to talk about culture, appropriate behavior at a theater performance, and other related topics.

This activity is the first in a series of theater screenings we plan to hold in the near future. These are made possible with the support of our partners from Asociația de Teatru Digital (the Digital Theater Association), through the project “Passport for Digital Theater”. This initiative provides people with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy the theater experience by giving them access to shows available online on the PiciordePlay platform. Thus, the project opens up a world of art and culture for people with disabilities, which often remains inaccessible due to environmental barriers such as inaccessible theater infrastructure, lack of accessible transportation, isolation, lack of accessible performances, and limited financial resources.
