#TeamMotivation ran to help improve the lives of children and adults with disabilities who need support in regaining their independence.
The event organized by Galați Community Foundation brought together ambassadors for dozens of causes, while runners gave their all to cross the finish line for something greater than themselves.
Beyond the emotions, encouragement, and energy that carried every race throughout the marathon, this is what the event looked like for Motivation Foundation:
- 14 wheelchair users took part in the 10 km Cross Race and the 3 km Fun Race;
- 100 fundraisers registered on the event’s website contributed to the final amount raised;
- 606 runners, adults and children alike, chose to support our cause out of a total of 1,941 participants;
- 387 donations were made through the website in support of our project.
We would also like to mention the incredible support we received from participants in the virtual race, who ran not only from Galați, but olso from different parts of Romania or from across the world.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us, whether they ran on foot or in a wheelchair. Thank you for pushing through tired legs, sore muscles, and the kind of sunny weather that usually calls for rest, and for continuing toward the finish line with children and adults with locomotor disabilities in mind.
Our thanks also go to the organizers, who created a truly complete and memorable event filled with people, energy, and moments that brought everyone together.
