More than 100 people with disabilities are expected to participate in Wheelchair Mobility and Health Caravans

For the second year in a row, Motivation Romania Foundation organizes Wheelchair Mobility and Health Caravans. These take place in the project “Advocacy for community access for wheelchair users”, implemented by Motivation Romania Foundation in partnership with Segoia Association, with the financial support of Active Citizens Fund Romania, a program funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the SEE Grants 2014-2021. The project aims to support the social inclusion of people with disabilities by improving the mobility and health of wheelchair users.

The activities are addressed to wheelchair users and their assistants, and will take place in 15 counties:  Buzău, Timiș, Mehedinți, Galați, Neamț, Iași, Bihor, Satu Mare, Argeș, Cluj, Sibiu, Prahova, Constanța, Brașov and Ilfov. The program of the Mobility and Health Caravans can be found here,  https://motivation.ro/en/events/

During the Caravan, participants will have access to innovative services and high-performance mobility and assistance equipment, such as the unique pressure mapping system BodiTrak. The Wheelchair Mobility and Health Caravans bring to participants’ attention aspects related to accessibility and mobility, and the rights of people with disabilities, by presenting and offering practical tools, useful in knowing and accessing rights, self-representation, and employment. Such tools are the two free mobile applications, MotiActiv and Panoul de Bord (Dashboard), as well as The guide for the rights of people with disabilities using wheelchairs.

The Wheelchair Mobility and Health Caravan is designed to give people with disabilities access to innovative services and high-performance mobility and assistive devices, to improve their health, and encourage them to become active and independent again.

We work together for an inclusive Europe
