“Sam and Sarah: You Can Do More Than You Think” is available for free in electronic format. The book can be accessed from the MotiActiv app, available for free in the App Store and Google Play, or by email, upon request. The printed copies will be distributed free of charge at activities carried out by Motivation Romania Foundation.

The comics were made by K-J Projects Unlimited Abilities and were originally published in the Netherlands, based on an idea by Paralympic champion K-J van de Klooster, with text and illustrations by Arie van Vliet and Paul Reichenbach. The story of the two is inspired by the experience of K-J Projects in working with children with disabilities.

The Romanian translation and the publication of the comics were possible in the project “Advocacy for community access for wheelchair users”. Within the same project, Motivation developed the iOS version of the MotiActiv app and ensured its connection with the app Panoul de Bord, an effective tool for reporting violations of the rights of people with disabilities. In the project, Motivation also published a guide on the rights of wheelchair users, accessible free of charge, in electronic format, on the website www.motivation.ro.

The project “Advocacy for community access for wheelchair users” is carried out by Motivation Romania Foundation in partnership with Segoia Association, with the financial support of Active Citizens Fund Romania, a program funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021. It aims to support the social inclusion of people with disabilities by improving the mobility and health of wheelchair users.
